Anti Age Products For Men

The availability of anti age products for men is really not all that new. In 1964Estee Lauder launched Aramis, a selection of men's toiletries and in 1976 Clinique was the first to develop a full line of just for men grooming products. The Clinique line now offers concealer and bronzer just for men and more and more companies are jumping on board with awareness building anti age for men campaigns.

It's no secret that society allows men to age far more gracefully than women. I think it was Jane Fonda that said "Woman are not forgiven for aging. Robert Redford's lines of distinction are my old-age wrinkles."

However, this new skin care market has been coming for a long time. There is no clear way to tell how many men have been using or continue to use anti age products designed for woman, but we can see clear indications that this market share is growing. I'm sure the much publicized media discussions over David Beckham's skin care routine have only helped men carve out a piece of that multi-billion dollar pie.

Men have a unique skin care need because of the pulling and tugging shaving causes. Products that sooth the skin are important for men, as well as products containing sunscreen for those spending a lot of time outside. The single most preventable cause of aging skin is exposure to the sun.

The most important steps in any skin care routine are to Cleanse, Exfoliate and Moisturize. This will help remove the build up dead skin cells on the epidermis (the outer layer of skin), reduce the irritation caused by shaving and help promote a bright and even skin tone. A three step system may seem like it will take a chunk of time out of your day, but what is a few minutes a day compared to extra years of youthful skin.
